101st Anniversary of the Times Square Ball
101 years of New Year celebrations in Times Square marks the installation of a permanent Times Square Ball that will be twice the size of the 100th anniversary ball. Using similar techniques of mirrored chambers, LEDs and custom-cut crystal, Focus Lighting looks to out-do themselves this year with this new edition to a New York City landmark neighborhood.

The theme for the 100th anniversary of the Times Square Ball was “Let There Be Light” so the goal was obvious – to create a sparkling “gem” more colorful, dynamic, and earth-friendly than ever before. The ball’s triangular crystals had to sparkle as much when viewed from 500ft away as they did 10ft away.
