The challenge for this space was to overcome the business like feel of the Bloomberg Building’s chrome and glass architecture by wrapping the restaurant with soft light. Fabric panels over the expansive windows were backlit to create a glowing field around the room. A 50′ diameter internally illuminated lamp-shade chandelier adds flattering light and provides positions to spotlight the tables below.

The bar consists of “magic boxes of light” that appears and disappears behind its one-way mirrored facade and a 3-story wine tower adds sparkle. Together these elements combine to make an intimate space in the middle of its glass and steel surroundings.
