Powder Deep Studio presented a unique collaboration between architect/designer Karim Rashid and Focus Lighting to realize a new, ultramodern, hip-hop nightclub with Rashid’s iconic “sensual minimalist” design aesthetic expanded into a lively, colorful, dance space.  The lightly colored walls, and dance floor provided perfect surfaces to project vibrant color, and dynamic patterns upon using MR16 strips with dichroic color filters, and metal halide color changing fixtures to imbue the sleek, distinctly modernist space with seamless stretches of color.   The result is a chic, noteworthy destination with the kind of exciting energy that only a club in Midtown Manhattan can provide.
