Shark Exhibit at the New York City Aquarium

The shark exhibit is a wonderful and fascinating addition to the Coney Island Aquarium. The concept behind this design was to showcase the sharks as more than just one of natures greatest predators. It was important to illustrate their lives and educate viewers on their fragile ecosystems. We faced special challenges in devising appropriate methods in tank lighting metal halide flood lights recreated a natural sunlight spectrum, while fiber optics provide uplighting and accenting within the tank without putting electricity underwater. Exhibition accenting integrated with projections and interactive video complete this unique experience.
