Our goal was to design a space where the patron would experience an intimate dining environment, using light to both create visual depth thoughout the restaurant, as well as gently casting a flattering glow of light onto customers while they dine.

Internally glowing sepia light boxes, featuring images of burlesque models from the 1920’s. The boxes are configured into room dividers, while the pleasant amber glow of the lightbox casts an almost fireplace-like quality of light into the Dining Room and Lounge. Black and white photographs were mounted off the wall with a soft red halo of light behind them while hidden theatrical framing projectsand front lit the photos without casting light beyond the picture frame. Incandescent ceiling coves, reflecting soft pink light into the ceiling back, Lounge and Dining areas.
