LeBauer Park / Where We Met

LeBauer Park / Where We Met

The lighting at LeBauer Park works to reinforce the four-acre park's landscape design. Rows of evenly spaced trees were formally lit with in-ground uplights, while sporadically arranged trees are illuminated with pole mounted pattern projectors to add a sense of drama. Where We Met, a net sculpture by artist Janet Echelman, can be seen from anywhere throughout the park. Our custom-designed LED floodlights make the piece equally as beautiful at night as it is during the day.

Tivoli Gardens

Tivoli Gardens

The goal for the lighting of each of three traditional rides at Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen was to have a person who was looking at it from afar feel the same sense of movement and excitement that someone riding it would experience. To achieve this, we illuminated the rides in a way that was evocative of the movement of the ride itself.

Marcus Center for the Performing Arts

The Marcus Center for the Performing Arts is one of the Midwest's premier theater venues. To make the building more iconic, a concept was developed that revolved around bathing the exterior facade in washes of colored light. This light shifts in color and pattern, creating a work of kinetic art inspired by the work of local artist Georgia O'Keefe.

Bank of America Corporate Center

Bank of America Corporate Center

For the Bank of America Corporate Center's first ever lighting redesign, we installed 436 high-powered RGBW LEDs at the building's top floors to light the crown's multi-layered tiers of soaring masts. Now, a curated set of 'Light Paintings' can be recalled either through an astronomical timeclock, programmed event dates, or manually through a custom web interface. Additionally, we installed white-light fixtures on the tower’s lower balconies to create a cohesive look for the whole building.

Ocean Wonders: Sharks!

Ocean Wonders: Sharks!

The New York Aquarium’s Ocean Wonders: Sharks! exhibit begins outside, where a 1,000ft-long shimmering wall uses wind and reflected light to create a mesmerizing effect reminiscent of ocean waves. Created by environmental artist Ned Kahn, the wall is comprised of over 33,000 aluminum flappers which wrap the building’s exterior. Each night, a 5-hour-long lighting program, created by the designers at Focus Lighting, illuminates the wall with a carefully curated set of scenes inspired by ocean life.

Royal Caribbean Cruise Terminal

Royal Caribbean Cruise Terminal

The inspiration for this cruise ship terminal was the image of two ships passing in the night. Chosen with the Terminal’s prime audience (tens-of-thousands of daily commuters on the adjacent causeway) in mind, the terminal’s Arrival Hall and Parking Structure appear to cross paths as they drive by. In the evening, this concept comes to life with lighting that artfully showcases the building’s bold, geometric forms and subtle storytelling.
