A recent renovation of the tower at the beloved Liberty Science Center created the opportunity to re-imagine its lighting; the tower now impressively stands out amidst the skyline, achieving the executive director and the museum’s long-time goal. The tower's unique architecture consists of façade surfaces, interior spaces viewed through glazing, and the large glass pyramid-shaped event space at the top, which created unique challenges and opportunities for the design team.  A beautifully iconic, yet flexible lighting scheme emerged by carefully considering interior and exterior energy usage, maintenance and aesthetics, and a limited budget and timeline.
